What is life-coaching?

Many people ask me: „What is life-coaching? What do you exactly do as a life-coach?”
I usually answer that through life-coaching I help people live a better life and I help them to develop their personality and motivation.
After that I seldom hear: „Oh... so... you are a psychologist!”
You couldn't be more wrong! Life-coaching is not a therapy where a shrink with glasses thicker than the bottom of a bottle asks you about your childhood.
Life-coaching is about present moment and about your future. The principal of coaching is to set achievable goals.
Moreover, in coaching, your coach is at the same level as you are. What does it mean?



It means that he is not trying to be smarter than you are, does not give you solutions, does not criticize you, does not laugh at you. Furthermore you are the expert! You have all the solutions in you, and life-coach’s task is to let you discover these answers by yourself.
Unlike therapy, which can least for months or even years, Life-Coaching usually least for maximum few months. Life-coaching relationship ends after about 6 sessions.
During the session Life-coach helps you recognize what are your strengths, helps you to overcome problems and limitations and helps you to prepare an efficient and effective plan to achieve your goals.

How does that work? Well...it's very simple. Coach makes right questions and you answer. Sometimes he gives you an exercise and homework, but don't worry it's not like at school! Life-coaching doesn't hurt and it can change your life!
