Resolutions, resolutions… do something about it! 7 steps to make your resolutions real.

It’s a new year, you began it with a bunch of resolutions. You have to get slimmer, write your blog regularly, do sports, learn a foreign language, order your documents at work, you have to be more available for friends and family, you want to stop watching too much TV and start reading books. You have to do this, you have to do that...
New Year is the best occasion to start. „Everyone does that, so will I” - you think.
You make a list. You think that you will keep your „promise”.
You wrote around 30 things on the paper. It’s not that bad. Only 30 for all the year!
First month passed by, second, third.... hmmm... you’ve read a book, yes... to your child when you put him to bed!

You’ve started to do sports... yes.... You went 3 times to the gym and you realized that lifting a beer is as demanding as lifting weights, so why bother...
The year is about to finish now, and you are destroyed, upset and guilty. You check what you didn’t do this year! Good job for being a champion of demotivation!
Does it make any sense to start every year with hope and finish with despair?
Maybe it’s time to do something right for the first time and not rumble around with thousands of ideas which will make you depressed sooner or later.

Don’t complain!!

Everybody likes to complain. There is nothing wrong in it, if you don’t change it in an obsession of finding all possible disadvantages of your life.
When you get up in the morning and you think: „oh no... working day... AGAIN!”, „oh no... what a terrible weather!”, „I am sick of this”, „My boss always annoys me!”, etc. consider for a moment that other people don’t have a job and they would have done everything to be in your place.
Instead of complaining about lack of money, think that others have less than you have. If you are reading this post, means that you have enough money to have Internet connection and a PC or smart phone or any other electronic device which allows you to surf the Internet.
Remember that complaining is not a solution to your problems. Your life will not change if you complain. Simple!
What changes instead is your mood. You feel worse and worse, you start to see more problems... it’s becoming a vicious circle full of negativity! Is it what you want in your life?

Cognitive Distortions – How much are you distorting your life?

Language we use everyday shows and reflects how we see the world. We try to “catch” our thoughts and ideas and describe with words everything that we see and feel.
Unfortunately, we inevitably lose in translation what we want to transmit.
We lose it through generalizations, deletion of information, cognitive distortions and many, many more.
Distortion takes place when we care and focus more about some ideas and experiences than about others. We do these things unconsciously and consciously. The way we do it gives many clues of our deep beliefs about ourselves and the rest of the world.
Here are 10 most popular cognitive distortions:

How to overcome procrastination in 2 minutes!

A year from now you may wish you had started today.” - Karen Lamb
As you perfectly know from my previous post procrastination is one of the biggest “Time Stealers”.
There are many reasons why we procrastinate: lack of management, fear of failure, badly organized time, laziness and I’m sure that you can name at least other 3 reasons why you procrastinate.
Our brains always try to find a way to justify our actions and also in this case, our brain gives a logical explanation why we haven’t dust the house for 4 months or we haven’t replied to an email for weeks....
